NookSky Weather ("the app"), operated by Diorama Labs LLC, turns a photo of your home into an AI-generated diorama that changes with the weather. This policy explains what the app collects and why. No account is required, and we do not sell your data.

Information the app uses

• Location (with your permission) — to fetch local weather. Coordinates go to Apple Weather. US air-quality data comes from our own feed of public EPA data, looked up by a coarse grid cell, so your precise location is not sent to any air-quality provider. We do not keep a history of your movements.
• Photos you upload — when you create a diorama, your photo is uploaded to our servers (Google Cloud / Firebase, in the United States) and processed by Google's Gemini AI to generate your images. Your photo and the generated artwork are stored under an anonymous installation ID so your content can be restored. When you animate a diorama, only the generated image — never your original photo — is sent to our animation provider (Kling AI, or a backup provider if it is unavailable). Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to create or animate.
• Anonymous installation ID — the app signs in anonymously; this ID is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Purchases — Apple processes payments. We receive Apple-signed transaction confirmations (never your payment details) to maintain your entitlement and credit balance.
• Notifications — if you enable them, an anonymous push token is stored so we can tell you when your images are ready.
• Usage analytics — anonymized usage events via Google Analytics for Firebase, to improve the app. Not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Saved cities and settings — stored on your device and in your personal iCloud storage so they survive reinstalls. We cannot read your iCloud data.

How your content is used

We use your uploads and generated content to provide the service to you and, as described in our Terms, to operate, secure, and improve the app. People working on the app may review content to run the service, handle support, investigate reports, and improve quality. We may use the dioramas and animations generated for you to promote the app (for example, in screenshots or ads); we never publish your original photo. We do not sell your personal data and do not use your content to create biometric identifiers.

Third-party services

The app relies on Apple (weather), Google Cloud / Firebase (storage, authentication, analytics, notifications), Google Gemini (image generation), and Kling AI — operated by LOHAS GAMES PTE LTD, Singapore — with fal.ai (United States) as a backup for animation. Each processes your data under its own terms to deliver its part of the service. Your original photo is only ever handled by Apple, Google, and our own servers. We share data only with these providers to run the app — never with data brokers or advertising networks.

International transfers

Animations are generated through Kling's Singapore endpoint, so the generated diorama image — never your photo, location, or any identifier — may be processed outside the United States under Kling's own terms. Finished animations are stored on our US servers.

How long we keep data

We keep your content while your installation is active, and other data for as long as needed for the purposes above. Content you delete is removed from restores and deleted from our systems; routine backups and logs cycle out over time.

Deleting your data

Settings ▸ Delete Everything erases your account and the content tied to it. Deletion is permanent; unused credits are forfeited, and it does not refund a purchase (Apple handles refunds, and your one-time unlock stays with your Apple ID). For fraud and abuse prevention we retain a few records that contain none of your photos, location, or content and cannot identify you on their own: the identifiers of App Store transactions you redeemed (so a receipt cannot be reused and your credits can be restored), and a device identifier with a count of free previews used (so the free preview cannot be reset by deleting and reinstalling). You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. Email us if you believe a child provided personal information and we will delete it.

Your choices

Turn off Location or Notifications for the app in iOS Settings, stop creating dioramas, or delete everything. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use your data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising. If your state's law gives you additional rights over your data, email us and we will honor them.

Reporting content

If a photo or generated image involves you or your property without your consent, email us with enough detail to identify it and we will remove it. Copyright complaints follow the process in our Terms of Service.
